Welcome to my homepage!

I am a Professor of Statistics at the University of Innsbruck and currently also Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Economics and Statistics. Depending on the research group I am working with, we evaluate the causal effects of policy measures, analyse preferences for support of mega-sports events, model the seasonality of winter tourism demand or identify risk factors for multiple sclerosis. The statistical methods I use therefore encompass a wide range of tools that need to be tailored to the investigation of our research questions - a task that I really enjoy.
